Becoming a Member

If you're interested in joining or finding out more about Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church, the following information should get you started in the right direction.

Because we are a small church, our membership process is a little more fluid and personal than larger churches you may have been a part of in the past.  There are three steps in the process of joining Christ Covenant.

First: Understand the vision of our church plant

Before you join CCPC, I want you to be comfortable with who we are and the vision we have for Culpeper.  There are two resources to help acquaint you with the vision of our church plant:

  1. The Way Forward Sermons Series
  2. Vision Document for Christ Covenant

Second: Provide the Session (pastors) with information about you and your family.

We want to know a little about you and your family as you join the church.  There are three online forms for you to fill out that will help us get to know you and what God has done in your life.  Your answers to these questions are only shared with the elders of CCPC.  If you prefer to type out your answers on your own computer or write them on paper, you're welcome to do so and then email or give them to Joe.

These 3 forms are:

  1. New Member General Information
  2. New Member Personal Story
  3. New Member Pastoral Information

Third: The New Members Interview

The last part of the process is an interview with Joe and possibly other members of our session.  In our interview we'll...

  1. Review your answers to the new member forms,
  2. Provide you an opportunity to ask any questions you might have,
  3. And, if we mutually agree that you should join at this point, you'll have an opportunity to join our church.

If you have any questions about joining our church, please don't hesitate to ask Joe.
