The end of the year can't be this close. I don't know why it seems that December has sped by, maybe because of the warm weather, maybe because of the Friday occurrence of the Christmas-New Years combo, maybe because of the Star Wars insanity. Who knows? But 2015 is fast coming to an end. So I wanted to make sure you were up on three opportunities that are left before the calendars (iPhones) turn to 2016.
- Advent: Part 3 - This is the last Sunday of Advent at Christ Covenant. We'll sing carols to king Jesus and look at two groups of gospel messengers, namely the angels and shepherds. You don't want to miss this Sunday.
- Christmas Eve - We decided to forego a formal Christmas Eve service this year in lieu of encouraging you to worship with family, friends, and neighbors. To that end, the elders have provided you with a short liturgy for a home worship service. You can find that here. Let us know how it goes.
- Service of Thanksgiving - We want to close out 2015 giving thanks to God. So our last worship service of the year on December 27th will be a service where we will take stock of all God's blessings to us in 2015. But we need your feedback. Would you be willing to fill out this very brief form to let us know how God has used this local church in your life?
- Year End Giving - As you close out your 2015 budgets and look to 2016 I encourage you to consider a year end gift to Christ Covenant. Our giving has grown from last year but we still have more ground to cover before we are completely self-sufficient financially. Your year end gifts could go a long way toward that goal. You can give here.
I'm grateful for each of you and am looking forward to worshiping our great God with you this Sunday.
