Article: Avoiding Catechetical Snobbery

Does our growth in orthodoxy apply to just one area of our life or all areas of life? How do the stories we tell show us what we believe about the core truths of the Christian faith? I sought to answer these questions in an article I contributed to the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals entitled, Avoiding Catechetical Snobbery

Life is multiplex and experiences differ from person to person. And yet the truth of God, the activity of the Holy Spirit, and kingly rule of Jesus never change. Do our stories, told together, reflect the varied care of our God over us? If they don’t, I think it’s time to write some new stories.
